FROM 9 to 21 YEARS OLD
Your camp, Your way
You can choose from 3 Camp programmes - Talent, Performance and Elite. Whilst we have specific age ranges for each programme, there is some flexibility either side of the age range to account for different levels of ability.
Over the past 30+ years Futures has run over 150 residential camps for all ages and abilities. Every Camp is different but the objectives to excite, challenge and inspire has been ever present. The following is a brief overview, for more information please click on a programme.
"We had 3 coaches for our group of 14, one was an England coach, one was an international player and the other was there to make us laugh...I think! All the sessions were fun but challenging. My favorite was the sliding deflections. It was pretty cool to get masterclasses from Maddie Hinch & Santi Freixa!"
Tom, age 16, England
"I was in the boys block with 2 friends from school and five other boys, two from Germany, two from Spain and a South African! I was in a twin room but most were singles. In free time we mostly chilled in the day room, watching TV or chatting."
Adam, age 16, Wales
"On another night we went to the field and played a tournament of different sports in our Olympic teams. Almost forget - the water fight and awesome water slide on Wednesday! It's all good fun."
James, age 11, England
"I have been to Futures for 5 years, this year was very awesome because I came with 3 friends from my club in Barcelona! Vamos Futures!"
Pablo, age 16, Spain
"I was a bit nervous to travel so far, it was my first time in England. The coaches and other players were so friendly and by the end I was really sad to leave. See you next year!"
Richard, age 15, Canada
"I was in a corridor with seven other girls. Coming from Holland I didn`t know anyone, but the staffie in our corridor was really cool and we did lots of games to get to know each other on the first day. My english was OK before camp but I am sure it improved."
Gabrielle, age 13, Netherlands
"There is a different programme each night. Everyones favorite, including the staff!, is Thursday Rave Night. My second favorite was Futures Got Talent, there were a couple of great singers and some really funny acts."
Louise, age 16, Belgium
"The coaches are great fun and there are so many of them! There are lots of groups so you can move around depending on whether youre really serious about improving or just want to be with your friends."
Katie, age 14, England
"The Elite Camp was my first Futures Hockey Camp although I have been to many others in the past. The coaches were incredible, not just names but really top coaches. I felt I improved loads during the week and also made so new friends who are equally as mad about hockey as I am!"
Jenny, age 19, Scotland
"It was my first time staying away from home and I was really scared on the first night. Becca was so kind and patient, she helped me settle and nothing was too much trouble. It was an amazing week."
Katherine, age 10, England
